Meghan Markle did her best at this year’s Invictus Games, particularly when it comes to her outfits.
The Duchess of Sussex accompanied Prince Harry to the fifth annual international sporting event held in The Hague in the Netherlands, wearing the likes of Valentino, Celine, Khaite, Brandon Maxwell and others to attend the events.
The opening ceremony began on April 16th and the matches will end on April 22nd. Although originally scheduled for May 2020, matches have been postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They were then postponed again to spring 2022.
Markle got off to a great start wearing an all-white Valentino suit at the welcome reception on Friday. He completed the look with a white bag also from the Italian luxury house and white pumps by Aquazzura in the same color.
During the Land Rover Challenge on Saturday, the Duchess and Duke had a matching moment in black, with Markle wearing a black tweed chasseur jacket and black Celine handbag over a plain white top, Moussy denim jeans and beige and black two-tone ballet flats by Chanel. She wore Linda Farrow sunglasses and styled her hair in a ponytail.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry wore a black polo shirt with the Invictus Games logo and navy blue pants.
During the opening ceremony later that evening, Markle dazzled a black and white dress from Khaite that included a white ruffled off-the-shoulder top and black flared pants, with heels by Manolo Blahnik. She had her hair pulled back with two locks framing her face and she was wearing Lorraine Schwartz earrings.
Markle spoke on stage and thanked the Netherlands for hosting the matches before going on to talk about solidarity with Ukraine and thank the athletes for their efforts.
“For each team, my husband and I recognize that it was a long time to get here, both physically and emotionally, not least for the Ukrainian team, with whom we are all on our feet,” she said. “One thing I know for sure is that every single moment it takes to get here will be worth it, because it is here, at the Invictus Games, that we honor your years of active field service and your continued service to your country, your country. family and your community off the pitch ”.
On Easter Sunday, Markle wore a white Brandon Maxwell jacket over dark wash denim jeans and Manolo Blahnik pumps.
Later that day, she wore a long-sleeved white floral mini dress from Valentino, a brown bag from Khaite, and sunglasses from the Italian label.
