Peyton List’s love of beauty began in the makeup chair.

“Growing up as an actress, I spent a lot of time sitting [one] – and over the years, I began to notice that many clean beauty brands were not offering products that allowed for creative self-expression, “the Cobra Kai the actress tells PEOPLE exclusively.

Enter Pley Beauty, List’s first foray into colored cosmetics. The line, launched in January, includes eye shadow palettes, eyeliner, lip tints, blushes, and face gems (adhesive ornaments) ranging from $ 16 to $ 36.

“I felt what I love most about makeup was getting lost in products that hid natural beauty, instead of amplifying it,” List, 24, explains her inspiration for the line.

Pley Beauty aims, she adds, to “introduce a more playful side to clean beauty, where creative expression is encouraged through vibrant colors, rich textures and versatile formats. It aims to amplify your natural beauty, not hide it. “.

In addition to colorful products that enhance a creative approach to makeup, Pley Beauty also ticks the box of sustainability.

“As we were starting this process, I was shocked to learn that the beauty industry is one of the biggest contributors to plastic waste in the world, polluting our oceans, landfills and waterways. So, I really made it a priority. for this brand respects our planet with clean ingredients and sustainable business practices, ”says List, whose products are shipped directly to the consumer on PleyBeauty.com and Revolve.com.

This list makes Pley Beauty a Plastic Neutral certified brand, which means “that for each piece of plastic used by the [brand]an equivalent amount of waste is removed from nature. “
