The Exclusive Fashion & Beauty Expo will offer a day of networking, shopping and friendly competition.

Taking place on Saturday at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Columbus Airport, the Exclusive Fashion & Beauty Expo aims to bring together beauty and fashion enthusiasts and professionals from across Ohio, according to its website. Starting at noon, the event will feature a vendors’ market, barber and hairdressing contests, and a fashion show featuring local and up-and-coming designers.

“The Exclusive Fashion & Beauty Expo, or as we call it EFAB Expo, is a networking opportunity for industry professionals in the hair and beauty field to come together and showcase their brand – show themselves”, Aliana Richards, founder and creator of the Exclusive Fashion & Beauty Expo, she said.

The event will feature 50 vendors in the fashion and beauty industries, giving attendees a chance to discover a variety of businesses, Richards said.

“It’s really a mix of everything. We have clothing brands, beauty brands, people making their own hair products, “said Richards.” I literally mean it ranges from every demographic of the business. “

Although the event is an opportunity for industry professionals to network and showcase their businesses, Richards said it is also an opportunity for beauty and fashion enthusiasts to talk face-to-face with suppliers and get to know small businesses. such as Trendy YB Boutique, Beauty in the face And Trubone clothing company.

“While we’re creating this opportunity for entrepreneurs and professionals, we also want to make them accessible to the public so they can tap into and ask the questions you might not be able to ask, you know, these Fortune 500 beauty companies,” Richards said.

Richards’ inspiration for the Exclusive Fashion & Beauty Expo came from her own skincare business, Mazo beauty. She said she started the business when she started making all-natural eczema products for her daughter, who was having little success with other treatments. She quickly realized there was very little chance for local entrepreneurs to come together and network at an event, she said.

“Pop-up stores, while they were useful, didn’t actually give me what I needed, which was more like connecting with other entrepreneurs,” Richards said.

From there, Richards said she took it upon herself to create her own event.

“I realized that it really had to encompass everything that I’m passionate about, which is fashion, which is the beauty industry, while also supporting my local entrepreneurs,” Richards said. “I was like, ‘This would be a great opportunity to bring some awareness and some notoriety to local stores here in Columbus, Ohio.’ “

The event will begin with the opening of the exhibition hall at noon, which will allow attendees to meet the vendors. The professional barber competition will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by the cosmetology student competitions, and the event will conclude with the fashion show and awards ceremony, Richards said. Starting at 10pm, an after-party will be held, open to all attendees for an additional $ 10, at HighLife Studio event space.

JaMéz Aloha, fashion and model coordinator for the Exclusive Fashion & Beauty Expo, said the show will feature the work of five designers specializing in styles ranging from custom clothing to streetwear.

“With the fashion segment of the show, we’re going to have some artists too,” Aloha said. “So there will be some music, some fashion in the middle where people can take advantage of all this good energy knowing that, once again, we are networking and connecting everyone with what is available at all. Columbus interior. “

Among the artists there will be Sled The champion of the people And Marco StandiferAloha said.

Classes that participants can register as the day of the event will be offered before the festivities begin, with the first class listed on the website starting at 9:30 am. Richards said the classes cover a multitude of topics ranging from hair care to business and are open to both industry professionals and the general public.
